Duck Dog Challenge Coming Up !

Just a heads up so you can start making plans : It's confirmed, there will be a Duck Dog Challenge at Burlington Ranch in Chewelah WA on July 19 & 20.

Entry forms should be up on the DDC website (currently being redesigned) within 7 to 10 days, but you can go there now to read the rules etc.

http://www.nationalduckdogchallenge.com/9401.html

I'll let everyone know when the entry forms are up. Should be a lot of fun !

The fees are listed on the DDC website.
Here's what the DDC website says :
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The following entry fees have been set by DDC and will be adhered to by all event holders. Unless authorized for special events by the DDC.

Hunter/Junior Entry Fee - $65

Open Division Entry Fee - $90

Team Division Entry Fee - $120

Fees above $70 for each entry collected for the Open & Team Division will be returned in prize money - See Rules for more information.

The cool thing is that $20 from each entry goes into a "pot". The top three dogs then split the pot 50%/30%/20%......... So if there are 20 dogs entered, First Place would get $200.

Hey Guys,
Hope to see you up at Marks place. Remember we are not that Bango-birds thing. We don't use balloons with powder.
It is going to be a blast.

Hey Doc,
We have about 35 entries so far. The New web site went live yesterday and we are excepting enries online. www.nationalduckdogchallenge.com
Each day is a separate event. You can enter the same dog in each division each day.

I was unsure exactly what was going to happen, so I entered (online) in the OPEN for both Saturday and Sunday. Now that you've explained it, I'm also going to enter in HUNTER for both days too.

Thanks for explaining it.

Now, tell us about the simulated birds -- they aren't Bangos, so what are they? Do they have something attatched that releases "feathers" when it's hit ?

I think it's going to be a whole lot of fun.
