The SBDA well be giving a retriever demonstration at the Cabela's store in Post Falls, ID on Aug. 2nd 2008.
We need some volunteers, participants and people to just show up and support our club.
We plan to have demonstrations from 10AM until 3PM. This will be strictly a hunting type presentation (not pushing NAHRA, AKC or HRC tests or competitions).
Our purpose will be to demonstrate different stages a retriever goes through in their training to end up a great family member, hunting partner and conservation tool.
We need volunteers to answer questions and hopefully sell memberships. We need owner/handlers with labs, goldens. chessies and other retriever breeds in our club.
This being a public event we expect only those owner/handlers with well mannered, clean and groomed dogs to volunteer.
The planned schedule is:
10am 1 beginner dog and 2 started dogs
11am 2 intermediate level dogs
12 noon 2 senior level dogs
1pm 1 beginner dog and 2 started dogs
2pm 2 intermediate level dogs
3pm 2 senior level dogs
We also need someone to pickup and return our white club trailer.
Dan Hosford has agreed to be our moderator for all of the events on that day.
Volunteers please call Paul Swenson 208-245-2925 or e-mail pswensonster@gmail.com ASAP as we would like to finalize and post the schedule no later than July 28th.
This being our first attempt working with a large corporate business we will strive to make this a very positive experience. The end goal being a long term relationship which will only help to make SBDA stronger.
Thanks in advance to everyone for your support.
Paul Swenson
p.s. A couple additional suggestions:
