Retreiver day at Cabela's
Posted: Saturday, August 02, 2008 8:27 PM

The SBDA can be very proud today. The retriever demonstrations were very well received by the public and Cabela's. The ladies (Janet and Debbie) at the table talked to alot of people and handed out alot of applications. We can only hope that some of  the people taking the applications follow through with them. Club members at the demonstration site also talked with alot of interested people.

I want to THANK Paul and Janet Pommerening, Kent and Debbie Walker, Barry Crose, Carl Streebe and Bob Westburg for handling their dogs and pitching in when ever needed.

A very SPECIAL THANK YOU to Dan Hosford for his great job as moderator. His presentation was a major factor in the success of the day. We are very fortunate to have the dedication of these folks.

Also Thank You to the few club members that came out in support of your club.

Paul Swenson

Cudos to Paul Swenson for initiating, organizing and implementing such an outstanding event! It was a truly awesome day. Dan Hosford was phenomenal as our MC, keeping the audience fascinated, making them laugh, and imparting valuable information. People walked away from the demos wowed! And Cabela's was extremely impressed as well.
Speaking of Cabela's - what a great host! They were so extremely accomodating, catering to our every need and supportive in every way. Can't think of more I would ask from a host of this type of event. Next time you go in, be sure to thank them for providing us the opportunity!
Only other thing we really needed were a couple of Pointer people to help us at the table. Fully 1/2 of the folks who stopped by were looking for Pointer info. And while I always try to represent out full club as best I can, I can never do as good of a job as the Pointer people themselves.
Thanks to all the other folks who helped make this event such a great success!!
